2021
REPORT
One of our first team meetings from July 2020.
It is hard to believe that Midtown Church has officially been in existence for four months now. What started as 10 people meeting on a rooftop in 2020 on a hot summer’s day, has become 4 microchurches with three more launching this February, regular Sunday gatherings, over fourty volunteers, a strong leadership team, 12 serve events and LIVES TRANSFORMED by Jesus Christ.
And yet, I do not want to forget the small beginnings: the countless times we've gathered over dinner or a cup of coffee, the moments of tear down or clean up, times gathered in prayer and worship for our neighborhood and city, the prayers of our microchurches, or our launch team meetings.
Launch Gathering on September 19, 2021.
It is through these small beginnings that Midtown Church has been built.
This week I read a quote that profoundly resonated with me: "Obedience is a success, nothing more, nothing less." It was a good reminder as we continue the often slow work of the gospel that our success as a church is defined by our obedience to Jesus.
That is why I am thankful for the small beginnings. These seemingly small moments were part of our obedience to Jesus. It is a reminder that we have already succeeded, we have already won!
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being a part of our small beginnings. Thank you for being obedient to God as he has called you to support Midtown Church with your prayers and finances.
Grace and Peace,
–Cassie & Alex Ferren

We believe in the importance of spiritual formation. We specifically work to guide people through their journey of spiritual formation through the practice of liturgy (prayers), scripture reading, microchurch, serving the community, and through the practice of generosity. The ministries of Midtown Church are not possible without the generosity of many. We are grateful to all who have contributed throughout 2021.

A worshiping Community
We believe in the power of stories and community; those two things collide in the Sunday gathering. Every week we look forward to opening our doors to our community, welcoming guests into our family, worshipping God, and being formed in His presence. Learn more about the way we worship.
